Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, nana, teacher, and friend. Kathleen “Kathy” Wright Harvey, a remarkable, strong, vibrant woman, and lifelong resident of Sacramento, California, passed away unexpectedly after a massive heart attack. Born on May 4, 1955 to Alfred and Marion Wright. Kathy was a graduate of All Hallows Catholic School, St. Francis High School and California State University, Sacramento, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development. She married her soul mate, Ron Harvey in 1980. Kathy worked for many years as a distributor for Wrigley’s Gum, and then as an Elementary Teacher’s Aide at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School, where she taught 2nd grade students until this time. Kathy was an avid soccer mom, school supporter, and Bunko queen. She lived life to the fullest, and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Kathy is survived by her husband, Ron; daughter, Hilary, and son-in-law, Mark; daughter, Nina, and son-in-law Kimo; son, Tim, and daughter-in-law, Kristin; mother, Marion; sister, Robin, and brother, Michael. She also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Al, brother, Al Jr., and nephew, David. Rosary will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (OLA) on Wednesday April 11th at 7:30pm. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at OLA on Thursday April 12th at 11:00am. Private interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in her name may be made to: Our Lady of the Assumption St. Vincent de Paul Food Locker.
