Larry Edward Gaines

Passed on November 19, 2011 at his home in Orangevale, CA in the presence of his son Steven, and his dear friends Frank and Mary Tolstick.

Larry was born in Arkansas City, KS on June 8, 1942. His family relocated to Northern California after his father Jack's service in the Army during WWII and eventually settled in Citrus Heights where Larry and his older brother Bob and younger brother Gene were raised by their mother Dorothy after their father's untimely passing in 1956.

Larry had a long and distinguished career with the State of California, Department of General Services, rising through the ranks to ultimately achieve the position of Supervisor within the Reprographics division.

Larry was preceded in death by his beloved and cherished wife Mary on June 16, 2009 as well as her two sons, David Mora and Kenny Mora. Larry is survived by his mother Dorothy, brothers Bob and Gene, and his children and step-children: LaDeena Gaines, Cindy Miles, Steven Boston, Ryan Gaines, Al Paneda, Deena Paneda, Marge Garcia, John Paneda, Rick Paneda, Mike Mora, Frank Mora, and Morgan Mora.

A memorial service will be held on December 28, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Reichert's Funeral Home located at 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA.
