Born in Dover New Jersey, July 22, 1935 – Passed away July 26, 2012 at the age of 77. Predeceased by his Father Louis Edward Rylen Jr., Mother Annie Oakley-Rylen, Ex-wife Josephine C. Barajas-Rylen, and Step-son Fidel “Joey” Gonzales. Lou “Sonny” is survived by his sister Betty Enloe, his daughter Julianna Wienholz and her husband Mike, and his two grandchildren Zachary and Mason. Sonny is also survived by his Step-daughter Charlaine Wese, as well as five step-grandchildren, and nieces, and nephews. Sonny spent 20 years in the U.S.N. serving on 7 subs. He served in the Vietnam and the Korean War, as well as a pivotal point in the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then retired with honors as a torpedoman. Then he went on to own the 7440 Club in Citrus Heights. After that he retired from the San Juan Unified School District. His heart was big for all that call him Dad, Grandpa, or Friend and his love was wide. We will miss him. Funeral Services will be held in Lou’s honor at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (5810 Midway Road, Dixon) on July 15, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
