Margaret entered into rest Thursday February 2nd, 2012 in Sacramento, California at the age of 96. Born August 6th, 1915 in Bieber, California, Margaret lived her entire life in Northern California and was a long time resident of North Highlands.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Herbert J. Woodin, her mother, Georgia M. Woodin, her brother, Douglas Woodin and her loving husband Glen, of 25 years, and her grandson Martin Tillman.
She is survived by her five children, Maureen Corby (Bob), Phil Jones (Elaine), Rob Jones (Sharon), Sheri Cook (Jack) and Mike Gard. She also leaves behind 19 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.
An avid sports fan, Margaret spent many years cheering on the San Francisco Giants and the Sacramento Kings with her friends and family. She was well known for her beautifully knitted baby blankets, afghans, and dishcloths. Many, many people have been touched by these gifts of love. Margaret was well loved by all those who knew her and will be greatly missed.
By her request, no services will be held. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the VFW Hall located at 3300 U Street, North Highlands, on Sunday, February 26th at 1:00 PM.
