She was born to Millard and Mardelle Ball on March 21, 1926 in Ravenden, Lawrence County, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by a brother – Sammy Ellis Ball.
Mary graduated from high school in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas in 1944. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Memphis State College (now Memphis University) in 1949. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Mary Alice later relocated to Sacramento, California, where she worked for and later retired from the Federal Government.
Mary Alice Ball was Episcopalian.
Mary Alice Ball will be buried at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
