Rodney Wayne Breitmaier left this earth on May 25, 2014 as a result of a sudden heart attack at the young age of 47. Rodney was born in Lodi California on May 12, 1967 to Edna and Bruce Breitmaier. He grew up in Galt, attending Galt Elementary and Galt High School and Amador High School in Jackson,. He played football for both high schools. He was a avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan, which started at the age of 5 when his parents gave him a Dallas Cowboy outfit. He also played baseball, but football was his first love.
Rodney is survived by his wife Kaycy Breitmaier of Orangevale. His mother Edna Breitmaier a long time resident of
Galt, and his bother Richard Breitmaier of Lodi. He is also survived by four children, Derek Breitmaier of Elk Grove, Katie (Steve) Reynolds of Fair Oaks,
Ryan (Michelle) Jensen of Orangevale, Melissa (Rhett) Stenback of Antelope, Ca. and five grandchildren, Jayden, Bryson, Lexi, Kylie and Ella.
Rodney’s greatest joy was his family, they meant everything to him. His grandchildren spent almost every weekend with him and many times his mother as well. He and Kaycy never missed a baseball game or anything that was going on with the grandkids.
Rodney has left a huge hole in our heart with his passing. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
I'm so lost for words a Mother is not suppose to bury her child it suppose to be the other way around. I remember the day he was born it was like yesterday. He was born 2 days before mothers day and what a gift. At 47 is way to young to loose him but it wouldn't matter what age he was. Growing up as a young girl I dint think about going to college I wanted to be married and have children. I believe for the first year of Rodney's life he was attached to my hip. I hardly would let anyone hold him. I was like he was the only child ever born but all parents feel that way with their children. Rodney was a easy child he learned quite easily he was reading the newspaper at the young age of 4 he would point to a word and ask what it was then he would remember it the next time he would see those words he would remember them. Rodney is going to be greatly missed by so many people. Rodney's dad passed away at the young age of 42 when Rodney was a senior at Amador High school in Jackson,Ca he quit school to take care of me. I tried to get him to go back to school but he wouldn't leave my side or his younger brother Richard. It broke my heart Rodney said Mom Dad told both of us boys that we were suppose to take care of you and took it very seriously, He was always there for me no matter what. The he married his wife Kaycy he told he came as a package deal and he would always take care of his mom and his son Derek and if anything to him. Kaycy had both of us which she always has been the greatest Daughter-in -law I could ever ask for. I was so proud of all of his accomplishments thru his life. All a parent hope for there child that they grew up and are Happy my son was very happy he was married for 23 years to the love of his life had 4 beautiful children that have no caused any issues and 5 beautiful grandkids, I don't think a weekend goes by that the grandkid were staying over at Papa & Grandmas house. Papa & Grandma never missed a baseball game of sporting event or school event of any of the grandkids. I would come up to his house to spend the weekend to spend time with all the Great Grandkids. I am so proud of what he accomplished in his life Rodney only had a high school diploma but that did stop him form climbing the ladder working for the state of California. He was one of the only ISO (Information Security Specialist) for the state of California with out a College education. I don't understand why he was taken he was one of the good guys. Its going to be very hard to continue but we will that what he would want us to do. He has left such a huge hole in our hearts. Until your in my arms again. I will hold you dear to my heart. Love you more Mom
Rod and I got together in 1991 we fell in love with each other and together we created a perfect lil family I came with 3 kids he came with only 1 child We had this amazing merger we called life. There were some people who used to tease Rod and I ( Just add Rod and we have an Instant family) We made a decision from the very beginning we were going to discuss all decision we made for the kids together, And if things were going to work for this new life we had together. We both had just made quite the commitment with our new family. In 1994 he was working as a security guard for DMV headquarters and he was his usual kind self he made sure all the ladies go to their cars safely and no one bothered them as a result one of them helped him get his foot in the door and he got hired there at first he worked in the mail room working swing shift he slowly worked his way up the ladder he took so many different courses to better himself and when he left there was an Auditor for DMV. He then got a promotion and he then worked for Cal Fire as an auditor and became and ISO (Information Security Specialist) No to bad for a guy with only a high school education and no college degree. He just loved learning there wasn't a question someone could ask and he would always know the answer he as so amazingly intelligent than he let on to all of us. He love watching all the learning channels discovery channel, His passion for Football was beyond normal , He loved the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Hurricanes almost as much as he love me as I always teased him! He had a semi pro football team called the River City Rage he so loved football. He always went to all of the kids school functions and sporting events he was so Proud when all 4 kids graduated from High school. He was so proud of the kids. He taught the kids so much about life he taught both sons how to treat a lady right. and he taught the girls not to put up with anything from anyone. The came our grandkids our life was never the same it was all about the grandkids! and boy was he so excited to be a Papa the perfect Papa for sure we had the grandkids almost every weekend for a sleepover it was so dang funny about Wed he would start asking me what time were the grandkids come over on the weekend it just cracked me up! He just was so in love with the Grandkids he became a total teddy bear when they grandkids starting coming. There wasn't a day that went by that Rod didn't tell me how beautiful I was and how much he loved me. Complete unconditional love He was my everything, my soul mate, my destiny of this thing we call life. I loved him so much and he loved me more than life itself. Not only did he truly love me but he love all the children and Grandkids. He loved his boys so dang much couldn't get enough of them, They love to wrestle with the grandsons and play games and the granddaughters were so special to their Papa they would climb up on his lap and cuddle and just be Happy sitting on Papa lap even if he was watching Football he would spend all of his time with the Grandkids. He was like a little kid waiting for Christmas when he was waiting for the grandkids to come over. He is so proud of the boys and their passion for baseball and how amazing they both are. His Jay Dizzle (Jayden) is our first born Grandson and boy did that baby have his Papa wrapped around his little fingers he was so in love with that lil guy it made my heart so happy. The came Baby blue Eyes (Lexi) our first born Granddaughter she was with us every weekend because Mommy had to work Saturdays she would sit on his lap and watch what ever he was watching she did care as long as she was sitting with he Papa. Then came Papa lil Knuckle head Moose Man (Bryson) boy does he like to wrestle with his papa and watch football games. Then came His little ( Kylie) spent so much time on Papa lap when she was little because he was one of the only people who could calm that baby down she was kind of a fussy baby and Papa was able to make her happy, Ella Bella had an amazing sparkle in her eye when she was with papa, she has an adorable giggle when papa would hold her. She may not be old enough to understand but his love for her will live on.
we call him the baby whisperer. Words cannot express how I feel inside my heart is so broken and i'm not sure if I will ever get over him he was my life and now I'm so lost without him I love him more than life itself not everyone has the type of passion and true love we had for each other. I'm not the strong person I have always had to be and its so dang hard its just not me.
I love you more Rod and don't ever forget it!

psalms 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
Jayden and Bryson came to the hospital the day we got the call about papa. When we arrived he had passed already so we told the boys lots of tears and hugs. Daddy took them home so mommy could be with grandma. On the drive home Jayden and Bryson tell daddy they need a moment with Ryker (the family dog) They said they were not sure how they were going to tell Ryker that papa went to heaven. They said Ryker will be really sad because he loves papa too. Ryker loved going to Grandma and papas and he would always race inside to see papa and jump and lick him.
Lexi said you know Kylie papa will always be watching over us! Kylie says does that mean papa will tell mommy when we do something wrong?
