

Tom lived in Roseville most of his life. He graduated from Roseville High School in 1958. Tom was a well respected man in the community. He spent 43 years as a Locomotive Engineer for the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroad, was an officer in the BLE and an active member and secretary of NARVE. He coached Roseville Bobby Sox for 15 years and loved spending time with his family. Tom spent his years of retirement playing golf and traveling. Tom was an amazing daddy, fun loving papa, loyal friend and wonderful husband. He will be missed for his huge heart, great sense of humor and passion for life.
He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Arlene Tillett. Tom is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kathy Tillett; daughters Laurie Balmain (Tom), Kathy Sheldon (Colin), Cherie Downie (Mike), Shelly Sessano (Chris) and Jennifer Esparza (Joe); step children Meghan Jinguji (Tad) and Thomas Smith; 16 grandchildren; sisters Louise O'Donoughue and Elaine Smart and brother Dennis Tillett.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Roseville High School Alumni Association or the charity of your choice.
The rosary and services will be held at St. Rose Catholic Church in Roseville. The rosary will be on Thursday September 9, 2010 at 7 p.m. and funeral mass will be on Friday September 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow.
