I was truly saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I've known Joe for about 15 years, first through Via Seating, He was a charismatic person with a great laugh. He was a great leader and I will always be grateful for his friendship.

My deepest condolences to the McGinley family and friends.

I had the great pleasure of working with Joe for a couple years when he was with Via. He was always a shining light when I would run into him at Neocon over the years. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to all of his friends and family.

I worked with Joe in this crazy furniture industry and working with Joe was always such a joy. He was available whenever you needed pricing or a demo even when you were under the wire. Having some as reliable as Joe in this industry was so unique and such a treat.

He will be dearly missed by myself and the two furnish team. Our thoughts are with your family during this time!

I recently watched the movie Dazed and Confused and it reminded me of our HIGH School years, with a mix of friends of different backgrounds, ethnicities and ages...groovy times.
It was my pleasure to know and hang with Joe and Julie. My teenage years were fulfilled with Joe as a friend.
I send warmth, friendship and comfort to you Julie.

I met Joe when I was 3 in the Irish Catholic ghetto we grew up in. There were 12 brothers and 8 sisters between us and even our Fathers were afraid of our Moms. Joe always kept a cool head, and between his confident swagger and Hollywood good looks, he was ‘just very cool’…(Even his mini bike was a chopper). If we snuck out on a school nite to throw snowballs at cars, and a carload of thugs from DeLaSalle Academy would slide to a stop and run one of us down, just as we’d be about get our lunch handed to us, you could count on ol’ Joe to circle back around and zing a snowball right into the guys face who was about to wreck your braces, so you could bolt into the darkness while he launched about six more. And we’d meet up the next day to share a few beers stolen from the shed behind the Main Street Deli and loaded into Grandma Havey’s Skylark (she couldn’t drive at night and we were only 13 and 14). This was our lives, every day, until we all accepted University Scholarships or went off to Seminary. And right in the middle of it, keeping us all very ‘grounded’ in more ways than one, was dear, sweet Mikey Mitchell, an Angel Amongst Us. And so it begins again……see ya soon Mr. Cool.
