Zae Brown

Zae Marie Brown, 85, passed away on March 1, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK. Zae was born on January 14, 1928 in Placerville, CA to Lawrence Roy and Frances Maude (Rondeau) Sherman. Zae was an amazing artist and enjoyed painting, gardening, and attending church. She made her girls clothes when they were young and was very active with the PTA. From January 1959 to December 1959, Zae was Worthy Matron of the Star of the Orient, Chapter #2, Order of the Eastern Star in Yokohama, Japan. Zae loved spending time at the Bethany Children Center, volunteering and helping where needed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Thomas Brown; son, Thomas Edward Brown; brother, Leonard Rondeau Sherman. Survivors include her children, Franceen Marie McClendon, Arleen Louise Burkhart, Noreen Patricia Smith; grandchildren, Michael Eugene McClendon (Amy), David James Burkhart, Brett Thomas Dickinson; great granddaughter, Jane Ivy McClendon. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Bethany Children’s Center, 6800 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008. Friends are welcome for visitation from 4 pm to 8pm Friday, March 8, 2013 at Reichert’s Funeral Chapel, 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA and to attend Funeral Services Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Central United Methodist Church, 5265 H Street, Sacramento, CA. Private Interment at East Lawn Sierra Hills Cemetery, Sacramento.
