Florence Marie Kraemer (Schaudt), age 100 years, passed away on April 23, 2021 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI. She was born on December 26, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan to Fred and Catherine Schaudt. Florence and her husband Milton (d. 1992) raised their five children on the east side of Detroit, where they were active volunteers for the St. Jude Parish, as well as avid Detroit Red Wings fans. Often called "The Cookie Lady," Florence later brought her baking skills to Clinton Township and dedicated countless volunteer hours to the St. Louis Catholic Community there. Her unstoppable spirit & generous heart earned her many grateful friends and "honorary family members," as well as several awards. Florence counted her recognition as Zehnder's Mother of the Year, National Finalist in the Energizer "Keep on Going" Hall of Fame, and President Emeritus Award from the St. Louis Seniors among her most treasured.
Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Milton Kraemer, and son, Raymond Kraemer (Barbara), as well as her siblings Louis, Beatrice, Kenneth, and Virginia. She is survived by her four daughters Ann Marie Kraemer (d. Ralph Kingzett), Shirley Blum (Leon), Nancy Christ (Roger), & Mary Lou Lesniewski (Ronald), as well as 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished having her in their lives.
In state Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 10am until time of funeral mass at 11am at St. Louis Catholic Community, 24415 Crocker Blvd, Clinton Township, MI 48036. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Louis Catholic Community, St. Vincent de Paul Society.
