Rafael Navarro Jauregui, age 76, a beloved resident of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. He was born on May 5, 1949, in Jalisco, Mexico, to his cherished parents, Leobardo Navarro Placenia and Norberta Jauregui Jauregui.
Rafael lived a full and meaningful life—one that reflected everything a family could hope for in a father, brother, and grandfather. He immigrated to the United States in his early twenties, carrying with him his heritage, language, and determination. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leobardo Navarro Placenia and Norberta Jauregui Jauregui, his siblings Reguinaldo Navarro Jauregui and his wife Francisca Maldonado; Pedro Navarro Jauregui and his wife Guadalupe; and José Navarro Jauregui and his wife Ana.
He is lovingly remembered by the mother of his children, Florence Rangel, and his children, Rafael Navarro Jr. and Claudia Ariceaga. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Daniella Rayo and Crystal Ariceaga-Matt and her husband Kobey Matt, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Levi and Logan Matt. He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Hilario Navarro Jauregui and his wife San Juana Solís Santibañez; José Concepción Navarro Jauregui and his wife María Elena; Jesús Navarro Jauregui and his wife María de Jesús; Fernando Navarro Jauregui and his wife Paulina Grijalva; Martín Navarro Jauregui and his wife Susana Salas; Pedro Navarro Jauregui and his wife Laura; Teresa Navarro Jauregui and her husband Mario Alberto Briones; Margarita Navarro Jauregui; and María Navarro Jauregui and her husband Matías Morales.
