February 16, 1926 - March 18, 2022
George Moon Look passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2022, in his home in San Francisco, California at the age of 96. Born in Sacramento in February 1926 to parents Look You and Look Sun Gum, George spent his childhood growing up with his six siblings, Lucy, Ella, Florence, Hank, Ruby and Jane. He spent his professional career as a lithographer working at Dettner’s Printing House. In 1951, George married the love of his life, Jacqueline, and built a home and family together in San Francisco where they would live for 70+ years. Together they raised five beautiful children - Garrand, Bryon, Arvin, Cheryl, and Daryl - who will forever carry their father’s spirit in their hearts. As a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, George lived a full life surrounded by his family and friends. Many remember George and his fondness for photography, always ready to capture candid photos during family gatherings that would become cherished memories for years to come. George is also remembered for the many years he served in retirement volunteering at the Salvation Army’s senior center along with his wife, sisters and senior friends.
George leaves behind his devoted wife, Jacqueline; younger sister, Ruby; 4 sons, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for his kind and free spirit, his generous contributions to the community, and for the love that he has left imprinted on all of our hearts. The Look family would like to thank George’s extended family and friends for their love and support.
