 You will be missed, my sincere condolences to the family.  May you RIP. He loved his family very much and missed his father and brother greatly, now you are united and resting.
Salcedo, is now here saying my her goodbyes'.

Jo is always in my memory of those happy time during the Lowell high school days.  
Jo and my son, Lynn, are good friends .   One  day we camped at Pollock Pine camping Park near Placerville.  We went to Wagner Wheel restaurant for all you can eat dinner.  Joe had his eye on those juicy steaks only.  “Only steaks, no salad, no  veges” that was a very worthwhile dinner for the price.  The next morning the boys had all you can eat pancakes, Jo got sick from eating too much pancakes.  
When Pam and Lynn moved to Boston with Spudy  , their cat,  Jo  drove them to SFO in his brand new Lexus .  Spudy being overwhelmed in the carrying cage it peed on Jo’s beloved new car.   Jo swear to get back  to the cat someday.
Jo was such a sweet person.  He shines like a falling star in the dark of night but left behind tails of light with many beautiful memories for us.
My condolences to the Lu family for the lost of a beloved son and brother.

Joseph was a dear friend. I was introduced to Joe by Lynn Chang in High School and we continued to be close friends throughout college and for many years after that. I have great regret that we lost touch in recent years.  

Joe was generous and kind hearted, he lived life to the fullest and was a true friend in good times and bad.  A few memories that still stand out was when he started working with us at the UA Galaxy theater and there wasn’t a uniform in his size.  We had to special order an 3xl which took over 1 month.  Since he didn't have a uniform, Joe stayed on popcorn room duty for the whole time.  I don’t think he really minded as he ate his fill of freshly popped popcorn and had unlimited refills of diet coke. 

Joe’s large physical size was often used to help us with purchasing beverages at Liquor barn.  I’m not sure if Joe borrowed his older brother’s license, but thank you James, for helping a lot of underaged wine cooler lovers.

When Joe decided to attend San Francisco State for a semester, I went with him to registration. He was outraged when he had to pay $800 for student fees, but then the clerk tells him, no, that was the entire tuition including the student fee.  After shelling out $18,000 for the previous semester at UOP, Joe was ecstatic as he loved a good bargain.  

Can't forget the marathon meals at Sizzler for all you can eat shrimp. The servers must have hated us as we piled up all those shrimp batter carcasses.  Once we were there so long, the waitress ran outside with our jackets thinking we had left without them.  We saw them running back in with them as we exited the bathroom and continued ordering more shrimp.

From epic trips to Vegas or even when just hanging out at his apartment on Geary, his friendship is interwoven into the memories my life.  I still have vivid images of riding shotgun in his Mustang as we rode off towards that night's adventure. This is how I will always remember Joe, rest well my friend.

One memory I have of Joe is when he pulled up in front of Lynn's mom's home in his new sleek flashy car.  Somehow I convinced him to let me sit in the front passenger seat with our cat, Spuddy. 

Joe and Spuddy had a special bond. Their relationship went way back to UOP when Spuddy would playfully attack Joe, smacking his head, whenever Joe fell asleep on Lynn's sofa in Lynn's dormitory.

As I was admiring Joe's car, Joe told me he was going to keep his car in pristine condition -- no food, no drinks in the car. At that point, Spuddy's case of tapeworms emerged with tapeworms coming out of his body into the car.  Joe was horrified, and Spuddy and I were quickly ejected from his car.

This is one of many fond memories I have of Joe, the Joe who was always messing around with Lynn.  Thank you, Joe, for all the wonderful memories and for your impact on Lynn and us as a couple. I am praying that by God's grace we will see you again in heaven and be with you for eternity.

I first met Joe Lo in middle school at Presidio in SF.  We became instant best friends. I was short and small, and I think I never experienced being bullied because Joe was always with me. We played Defender after school at Martinelli’s at 39th and Geary.  I went to Novato on weekends with his family, laying around like lizards in the blaring heat. After high school, I didn’t get into anywhere for college, and I had no direction. One night, Joe said,”Hey, why don’t you go to UOP with me and study dentistry like me?” I did, and I wouldn’t be where I am now if God didn’t use Joe in my life. I missed him while he was at Bakersfield all those last years.  I wish he made it back to the Bay Area. I thank God for blessing me with a friend like Joe Lo. 

Joe was a good friend to all who met him!  You will be missed. RIP Big Joe!

I've worked for Dr. Lo since he opened this office all the way to when he closed. He was always very caring and I loved working for him. He was also a great doctor and the patients loved him. May he rest in peace.

To Joe's Family: I am truly sorry for your profound loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this most difficult time.

I've known Joe since I was 14 and he has been a part of my life ever since!  We shared many smiles, laughs, and memories over the years. I'd  laugh each time with the way that he answered the phone whenever I called or we'd laugh about old times...like how he got a B in algebra and I got a D... he got the B due to his (unintended) "intimidating inquiry" into his grade as he towered over the short teacher...thanks alot I told him, how come he didn't ask about my grade at the same time? I mean, he could have bumped me up to a C! There was also the time when he couldn't get the car's dashboard light to turn on when we were driving to Malibu Grand Prix in Redwood City; I swear he was crazy speeding but we couldn't tell, he kept flipping all these knobs and switches but nothing worked! Well, let's just say that we got to Malibu Grand Prix really quickly for our miniature golf game!  Joe would also get grumpy when I called him Pumpkinhead.  That nickname was given to him when he told me one night that he could still fit that Darth Vader helmet from the 70's Halloween costume he had as a kid; (he bought that helmet with his own money at King Norman's Toy Store).  I told him that his Pumpkinhead was way too big to ever fit that again! I believe he was offended, but he never let on, not really, anyway...At school he was known to be tough on the football field, but to friends, he was known as the Gentle Giant.  Joe was always there for me and always told me to "Reach for the Stars!"  Joe, I will never forget you and you will always be my star!  May you rest in peace dear Joe!
