Obituary of Leonard "Jojo" Gemora
Leonard E. Gemora, Jr. (affectionately known as “Jojo”) took his final breath surrounded by loved ones on January 15th, 2023 after a courageous two-year battle with Esophageal Cancer. Born in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines on March 22nd, 1955, Jojo was the third son and sixth of nine children to Leonard Sr. and Julia (née Ezpeleta) Gemora. Jojo was a deeply devoted and indescribably selfless husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, son, friend and neighbor. He was preceded in rest by his parents and eldest sister Vivian Gemora Sensier. He is survived by his wife Juliette; their children Samantha, Tarah, Mirah, Michael and Aisah; their children-in-law Julius, Dre, and Ali; and their grandchildren Alex (19), Aaliyah (13), Diana (10), Zarina (8), Lynna (7), and a granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his remaining siblings, a large extended family, and the many whose lives he touched. He sleeps awaiting the Savior’s return and awaiting a Heavenly reunion with all those whom he loved and all those who loved him. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." - Revelation 21:4 From Jojo’s family: We wholeheartedly thank everyone for their prayers, love and support during this challenging time. For any friends and family who wish to contribute a monetary gift, we kindly request that you do so at this website: We sincerely appreciate any gift, which will go towards providing our Dad (and your Jojo) the Celebration of Life and final resting place that he desired and deserves. So that we may plan appropriately, we also kindly request that you please RSVP for Sunday's reception at the same link above. We look forward to celebrating Jojo’s life with you.
