Lucy. I just learned of Mikes passing. Sylvia and I are so sorry and it hurts us deeply. Our hearts go out to your family. Mike was the kindest soul I have ever met. His energy will stay in our hearts forever.

I just received word of Mike's passing from Jennifer.  I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Even though it has been years since I've seen you I have always held you both in the highest regard.  My prayers are with you and your family.  May God comfort and surround you with his love and presence at this time.

Dear Lucy, It was with profound sorrow that I received the news of Mike's passing from Sandy Brock.  Mike and I were friends in Fresno's Planning and Development Department.  We often would get together and share laughs in connection with some of our projects and developers we had to work with.  In addition to our shared work experiences, Mike was very interested in the traditional Celtic band that I played in.  On occasion, he would attend our concerts and music gigs.  He was particularly fond of Sean McHenry, our bodhran (Irish drum) player and singer.  Now, both Sean and Mike are no longer on this earthly plane of existence.  I guess it comes down to this for me---- the earth is dimmer and heaven is brighter since Mike's passing.  I will never forget him.  Much love to you and your family, Donn Beedle

I had the opportunity to work with Mike at the City of Fresno beginning back in 1987. He, Sandy Brock and I were all hired at the same time, and as such there was always an unspoken kinship between us. I always found Mike to be one of the kindest,most gracious guys I ever worked with.  He was just a good,good man who will be terribly missed by his friends and co-workers. We have lost a man who was the type of person who gave me faith in the possible qualities of how wonderful people can be .  What a gentle , caring and honest man  ....  What a wonderful family .  I will miss him dearly

The news of Mike's passing came as a shock.  He was one of the best-natured, kindest people I ever worked with at the city of Fresno and I always admired what a great family man he was.  He had an unfailing moral compass and a quirky yet gentle sense of humor that I missed when he took the Caltrans job. I am very sad to hear of his loss and my sympathies go out to his family, who must be devastated.
