Pat was born on December 8, 1936, in San Francisco, CA, to Harold and Mae Gatto. On June 13, 1959, she married Walter Edmond Singer. They raised their three children, Walter (Hal), Julie, and Cyndi, in the Bay Area, instilling in them both independence and resilience.
Pat had a deep appreciation for the finer things in life—from world travel and oceanside vacations to time on the ski slopes and scuba dives in warm tropical waters. She took great delight in hosting holiday dinners with family and friends. She found joy in the outdoors—whether on the beaches of the Russian River, in the snowy peaks of Tahoe, or later in life, on the golf course with her ladies' groups.
A skilled knitter, she took pride in her craft, creating sweaters for her grandchildren and donating handmade hats to newborns in local hospitals. She also worked as a special education aide at Mills High School, where she had a positive impact on both students and staff.
A celebration of Pat and Walt’s life will be held at Il Fornaio in Burlingame on Tuesday, Jul 29, 2025at 12:30pm. Please RSVP to Walt (Hal) at [email protected]
In her memory, please consider donating to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (www.michaeljfox.org).
