On September 20, 2026, our Father and Grandfather, William (Bill) Dong, passed away at the age of 85. Bill was born in Phoenix, AZ, and grew up in Sacramento, CA. He attended Arizona State University and was a lifelong Sun Devils fan. Bill and his wife Karen lived in Sacramento where he worked as an architect. Together, they raised four children and were active in their eight grandchildren’s lives. Bill loved drawing and marveling at construction projects; tracking stocks; watching news; eating out and practicing recipes at home; and watching his grandchildren grow.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Karen, his parents, Ralph and May Dong, brothers Ray and Thomas, and sisters Anna (Allan) and Josephine (Andrew). He is survived by his children: Linda (George), Julie (Chris), Robert (Joy) and Bryan; his grandchildren: Kylie, Paige, Aubrey, Kacie, Gwyneth, Emma, Lenori and Trevor; his brother Jimmie (Dorothy) and sister-in-law June, and many nieces and nephews. Bill will always be remembered as a thoughtful, generous and caring person. We love you and will miss you greatly.
Friends are invited to attend services to celebrate William’s life on October 11 at 1pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1000 El Camino Real, Colma. Flowers are welcome.
