Anita Munoz, 68, Colorado City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 21, 2019 in the Hendrick Hospice Center in Abilene with her loving family by her side. She was born in Loraine, Texas on August 23, 1950 to Santiago and Rafela Carrasco Martinez. Anita was a woman of faith who put her faith in God and her family above all else. She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She took her faith and religion very seriously, and her faith made her beautiful soul radiate inside and out. She was a member of the Guadalupana’s in Colorado City and a communicant of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church. She was a strong woman, full of compassion for others and she would give you what you needed if she had it. Anita held many jobs throughout her life but the one she was most proud of was being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of her family, whether it was cooking for them, making them blankets, or doing what she did best which was hosting a gathering as she loved having people over. Many people were recipients of her homemade blankets which were always made from the heart. If she ever made you one and you would like to display it you may bring it to the visitation. Anita is survived by her husband Jesse Munoz of Colorado City, by her sons Jeremiah Munoz and wife Jamie of Clyde and Anthony Munoz and wife Candace of San Angelo, by her daughter Jennifer Park of Lewisville, and by her grandchildren Gabriella Park, Jade Munoz, Olivia Park, Hallie Munoz, Hadley Munoz, and Hayzen Munoz. She is also survived by her brothers Sammy Martinez of Colorado City and Danny Martinez and wife Janie of Colorado City, by her sister Melinda Pfeuffer and husband Dennis also of Colorado City; and by her sister-in-law Rosa Martinez of Odessa. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, and dear friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Ruben Martinez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church on Friday, April 26th at 10 am with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery. The family will be present for a visitation on Thursday night April 25th from 6-8 with a Rosary to be held at 7 pm at Kiker Seale Funeral Home. Those wishing to share a memory are encouraged to do so by visiting www.kikerseale.com

I loved Miss Anita and so did my kids. She was always smiling and always had a kind word. She will be sorely missed by so many lives she has touched.

We have shared special events with this family through our friendship with her daughter in law, Candace Womack Munoz. A few years ago, we helped with the wedding decorations at the church, and as we talked and laughed - I was ever mindful of the respect she had for the beautiful altar of the church. She bowed politely and she adored the church hangings every time! But mostly I remember observing her and the joy in her face. As she watched Anthony and Candace exchange vows - you could tell it wasn't just "their" marriage to each other… it was going to be a blessed union of families. You could just see how she adored her beautiful family, and you could see pride, concern, commitment, compassion and most of all Faith! I admired how she tended to everyone first at the reception, and then tended to her husband and she was last! I think in God's Kingdom he speaks so highly of his servants. She was a wonderful person, amazing Wife & Mom, "Super Gammie", and most of all a very faithful Servant.
2 Corinthians 4:5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as LORD, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. We send our prayers for Love and Peace to her loving family! Scott & Dora Miller and Family

Anita will truly be missed, she had a way of making you feel very special each time we went to visit. My family left C-City when I was very young but we always would stop in and see the Munoz crew!! I loved hearing her stories of our Family heritage. Anita we will never forget you and your heart filled kindness, as you entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Easter Sunday. I’m sure the sights of our Heavenly Father was so beautiful welcoming you!!
With much Love, Nick Martinez
