Baleriana Reyna Preciado

Baleriana Reyna Garcia Preciado, age 84, was born on November 8, 1941, in Runge, Texas. She has lived in Loraine, Tx and Raleigh, NC and for the last 24 years she lived in Colorado City, Texas, where she passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Baleriana was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Angel Preciado, and her six children: Dianna Alvarez and her husband, Alfred, of Irving, Texas; Richard Garcia and his wife, Amparo, of Snyder, Texas; Dora Rodriguez and her husband, Eddie, of El Paso, Texas; Emma Gomez and her husband, Peter, of Midland, Texas; Ruben Garcia and his wife, Mary Ann, of Dallas, Texas; and Betty Ragan and her husband, Steven, of Irving, Texas. She is survived by her brother Henry Reyna and sister Felicita Zurita. She is also survived by Juan Ybarra, whom she loved and considered a son.

She was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Naomi Madewell, Ashley Bantz, Amber Alvarez, Amy Wooddell, Leslie Batson, Marina Sanchez, Laura Mulgrave, Nicole Ramon, Sara Molina, Steven Ragan, Sierra Ragan, and Sean Ragan; as well as 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Baleriana was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Matiana Reyna, and her brothers, Santiago Reyna and Richard Reyna.

She found great joy in tending her flower garden, for which she received many compliments from her family and friends. She loved caring for her goats and chickens, loved taking peaceful afternoon walks, dancing, and spending time in the kitchen, where she enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved. Her first question when you walked into her kitchen was, “Are you hungry?” She also traveled with her biscuit cutter ready to make her children homemade biscuits. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love for her family was unwavering, and the memories she created with them will be treasured forever.

Baleriana will be remembered for her love, strength, warmth, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends who knew her and loved her.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

The family will be present for visitation on Monday, August 10th from 5-8pm in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will begin at 7pm.
