Betty Marie Miles

Betty was born on December 22, 1943, in Arp, Texas, to her parents, Johnny and Irma Smith. Betty lived a life of love, generosity, and kindness to all. She let her Faith in Jesus carry and guide her through many trials in life that would have left many bitter and broken. She continued to stand firm in love and serve in Faith. She was a loving mother not only to her children but to all who needed a warm embrace, encouraging words, or a delicious home-cooked meal. She had a dynamic, witty sense of humor and always brought a laugh and smile.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Tera Williams, and son-in-law, Melvin Williams, of Loraine, Texas. Daughter Stacie Miles of Grand Prairie, Texas. Her son, David LaRon Miles, of San Angelo, Texas. Her grandchildren are Jonathan Miles, Jeremiah Williams, Jalessa Williams, Jonequa Campa, Jaylen Miles, Serena Miles, and David Ethan Miles. Great-grandchildren Aycen Williams, Milana Hopkins, and Elijah Hopkins.

Preceding her in death are her husband, David Miles Jr.; her daughter, Belinda Kay Miles; her sister, Hazel Smith; and her parents, Johnny, Mildred Smith, and Irma Jean Kelley Smith.

The family will be present for a visitation on Friday, June 12th from 6-8 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Saturday, June 13th in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am with Pastor Faye Ross officiating, burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery.
