
She was born the daughter of Walters and Kate Marshall Wood on May 23, 1918 in Scurry County Texas.
Louise was a woman who was always a family first woman, which is why it was no surprise that after graduating high school she met and married the love of her life, Mr. Russell on on December 24, 1937. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1988. Louise settled down in the China Grove and Valley View community where she spent her years raising her family and helping out on the family farm, always making sure to work hard and to attend church in Buford. Later in life she retired and moved to Colorado City where she took up a new passion of sewing and making draperies.
Louise is survived by her son Charles Dunn and wife Earline of Colorado City, and by her daughters Gail Patterson and husband Larry of San Angelo and Jeralyn Hill also of San Angelo. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dustin Patterson and wife Julie of San Antonio and Whitney Ramirez of San Angelo, as well as by her great-grandchildren Mason Ramirez, Rowen Ramirez, and Parks Patterson. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her huband Russell and by her siblings Bonnie Brown, Viola Thompson, Jim Wood, and Vergil Wood.
A graveside service for Louise will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 11 am in the Dunn Cemetery with Doctor Jerry Shields officiating. Richard Norman will lead in song.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
