Bob Sheen

Mr. Bob Sheen, age 78, of Colorado City, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at his residence. His service will be at 2 PM Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Sheen was born July 19, 1935 in Montague County, Texas to William and Eva Dunn Sheen. He had been a resident of Colorado City for 42 years. He married Hazel Levon Hill on January 28, 1957 in Lamesa, Texas. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Texas Electric for 23 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hazel Sheen of Colorado City; 2 daughters: Susan Diane Landreth of Helotes, TX and Cynthia Gail Sneed of Midland; a son, Brian Doyle Sheen of Maryneal; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; a brother, Donald Sheen of Lamesa, TX; sisters, Francis Gardenhire of Blackwell, TX, Cora Sue Boyd of New Jersey, and Nell Flowers of Haughton, LA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers including his identical twin, Bert, and Clifton and 3 sisters, Billie Jean Smith, Elizabeth Jenkins and Juanita Harvill.

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
