Bobby Gene Holman, 82, San Angelo, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo. Bobby was born on November 28, 1935 in Mitchell County to T.L. and Ruth Rogers Holman. Bobby was a personable man who had a way with words that could put anybody at ease. After high school Bobby went on to College where he earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas Technological College before being drafted to spend time in the Army. After his stint in the Army he spent his life as an investment broker working for many insurance companies around the United States, to which he always gave his wife Jacqueline credit for accepting the traveling life that they lived together for so many years. He was a great husband, a wonderful father, and a man that loved his grandchildren with all his heart. He made sure to stay engaged in all the new progress that the business and economic world made and made sure to keep a sharp mind, paying attention to every detail of what was going on around him and with his work. Bobby was a 20 year member of Catawba Valley Gun Club in North Carolina, spending many of those years as an officer and helping with the financial end of the club. He is survived by his wife Fleta Lewis of San Angelo, a son Robert Holman and wife Lisa of East Hartford Connecticut and their children Garrett and Joshua and by another son Scott Holman and his wife Laurie of Silver Spring Maryland and by their children, Mark, Steven, and Kate and her husband Adam. He is also survived by his sister Donna Holman of Austin. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jacqueline Richey Holman in February 2013, and by his brother Charles Holman. A funeral for Bobby will be held on Friday, March 2nd at 2 pm at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Dana Mayfield officiating, burial will follow in the Loraine Cemetery. Best times of my life with Bob and Jackie in Simsbury, CT. I was a young kid out of Illinois and Bobby was in the Prime of his life. Learned so much about business and life! Best on your journey Bobby!

To all of the HOLMAN Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I met Bob at the CVCC about five years ago. He actually gave myself and others our initial introduction/tour of the Club. There are not many times in ones life that you meet a man that you can say now there is a Gentleman. He always had a smile that went with a great sense of humor. He will be missed!!

Donna, so sorry for this sad time. I know he will be missed by his sweet family. Mother (Mary Helen Perry Butler) did not know he was in San Angelo. Mother is 88 and Dad is 89. Hope you are doing well. Miss seeing you but we have so many great memories to hold on to & I do. Your parents were so precious. Many years ago when I was young girl we went to Bobby's house in Lubbock for a visit. I thought he was a very handsome man. We will be thinking about you all Friday & praying for sweet peace. Ruth & Uncle Lusk are rejoicing. Regina
