Bonnie Ruth Wood Brown

1925-2011

Bonnie Brown, age 86, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Trust Point Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Mrs. Brown was born January 4, 1925, at China Grove to Walter and Katherine Wood, in Scurry County. She married Joseph Edward Brown, January 11, 1941, who preceded her in death May 14, 1994.

Bonnie Brown was the bookkeeper at Inadale Coop Gin, Roscoe Coop Gin and then for many years at the China Grove Coop Gin.

She is survived by three children, Glenda Berglund and her husband Art of Lubbock, Texas, her son Wayne Brown of Snyder, and Denna Dickard and her husband Dale of Colorado City. She had five grandchildren, Mike Berglund, Angie Cameron, Melinda Jo Brown, Cara Dickard, and Staci Dickard; also five great grand children Kyler Cameron, Weston Berglund, Carlie Valencia, Ayven Valencia, and Katy Berglund. She is also survived by one sister, Louise Dunn of Colorado City and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, May 28, 2011 in the Kiker Seale Chapel with burial to follow at the Colorado City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mitchell County Library.

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
