

Colorado City – Mrs. Candelaria Rivera, age 88, of Colorado City, died Wednesday evening in a local care center. Services will be at 1 PM Saturday, December 18, 2010 in St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rivera was born September 3, 1922 in Westbrook, TX to Diego and Natividad Fierro Dominguez and had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell County. She married Estaban Rivera in 1940 in Mitchell County. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by sons: George and wife, Alicia Rivera of San Antonio, Trini Rivera and Estaban Rivera, Jr, both of Snyder; daughters: Jacinta and husband, Tomas Hernandez of Sand Spring, TX, Mary Lou and husband, Max Morales of Loraine, Josie and husband, Randy Harvey of Grand Prairie, Emily and Husband, Rick Upham of Colorado City, Estafana Selvera of Grand Prairie, Mary Helen and husband, Efrian Cerventez of Snyder, Doris Reyes of Ft. Worth, Margie and husband, Willie Davila of Colorado City, Teresita and husband Elias Cervantez of Snyder, Nellie and husband, Gary Helms of San Angelo Toni Wilson of Colorado City; 44 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
