He was born October 10, 1976 in Big Spring to Charles Ray and Nona Pearl Gilbert Seals.
Charles known to most by his middle name of Dewayne was a passionate man who lived a simple life. He was a great husband, father, brother, and son, and held a special place in the hearts of so many others, especially his nieces and nephews. Dewayne was a corrections officer for TDCJ by trade, but his true passion was volunteering for 4H as an archery instructor, as he loved to teach others to learn a skill he loved. He had a great sense of humor and loved to get under peoples skin (especially his mother), but everyone knew he had pure intentions as he had a heart of gold. In his spare time, he enjoyed archery, woodworking, gunsmithing, and going hunting. He was a joy to be around and will be missed by many.
Dewayne is survived by his wife Sarah Seals of Colorado City; by daughters Rebecca Travis-Cook and husband Donnie of Lincolnton N.C. and Chelsey Peeters and significant other Kevin Wojtek of San Angelo; and by grandchildren Scarlet, Phoenix, Trenadee, and Trendon. He is also survived by his mother Nona Seals of Sterling City; brothers Richard Seals and significant other Jacquiline Mould of Sterling City, and James Seals and wife Jennifer of San Antonio, and by a sister Belinda Lendermon and husband Jack of Sterling City. Also left to cherish in his memory are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, along with several fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Ray Seals and daughter Jayden Nichole Light.
The family will hold a visitation in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 19th from 5pm to 7pm.
