

She was born in Colorado City, Texas on May 14, 1927 to A.L. and Edna Phillips Fowler.
Christine was a woman who was strong in faith and in love. She was a devout wife, a great mother, and an even better grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the type of woman who was very protective of her family, especially her youngest daughter.
Christine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Loraine where she was very active and engaged in all that went on. Over the years Christine became a staple of her community, as she was a woman the city would depend on as the City Secretary. In her spare time Christine enjoyed cooking, doing yardwork, watching game shows, doing word search puzzles, reading, and sewing. In her retirement Christine loved to hang out at the Loraine Senior Center and play games with her friends, she will be dearly missed.
Christine is survived by her sons Randy Britton and wife Dorothy of Big Spring and Mike Britton and wife Rachael of Rowlett, by daughters Carlia Aston and husband Dwight of Abilene and Jana Holloway and husband Trey of Plano, and by grandchildren Scott, Todd, Mark, Mitch, Kyle, Michael, Christy, Jordan, Weston, and Hannah, as well as by 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Mary Ruth Shearer of Lubbock, and by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents A.L. and Edna Fowler, by her husband Gene Britton, and by sisters Doris Harmison, Betty Sue Marsh, and Sylvia Moon.
A celebration of life for Christine will be held on Saturday, December 27th at 1pm at the Loraine First Baptist Church
