Dorothy Jean Barnett

Graveside Services for Dorothy (Mrs. Berton) Barnett, 89, of Colorado City is set for 12 noon, Friday, December 14, 2012 in the Colorado City Cemetery with Reverend Mike Foster officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barnett died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Barnett was born on September 27, 1923, in Houma, Louisiana, the daughter of Thomas and Cedie Hatch. She married Berton Barnett on August 23, 1944, in Pasadena, CA.

She was a lifelong homemaker, devoting her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Berton, and son, Barney Barnett.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Fowler and husband Woodie; son, Lynn Barnett and wife Connie; daughter-in-law, Kay Barnett; sister, Belle Parham and husband Gene; brothers and sisters; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Special appreciation is extended to granddaughter Lori Barnett and nephew Sammy Parham for their support.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 from 10 AM until time of service.
