Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home with Ben Muller officiating. Interment will follow in Westbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6-8:00 PM.
Eddie was born on March 22, 1957 in Loraine to the late Floyd Hale and Pansy LaVada(Moore) Hale. He grew up in several west Texas towns and the family eventually settled in Westbrook. He graduated from Westbrook High School in 1977. Eddie was a hard worker and worked in numerous fields to include the oil field and truck driving. However he spent the majority of his career farming in Hamlin, Texas. He loved tinkering, old classic cars, farm sales, and tending to the local cats. He was not complete unless he had his cup of sweet tea in hand. He will be remembered as a gentle soul who never met a stranger. The embrace from his legendary hugs will live on with those he encountered.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Ginkinger and Diane Petty; brothers, Wendell Hale and Donnie Hale.
He is survived by his 2 children, Brandon Hale , his wife Mindy and Candice Rich, her husband Kevin; his siblings, Ray Hale his wife, Cindy and Pansy Fernandez(Paul);his sister-in-law, Judy Hale; his grandchildren, Brennand Hale, Brooks Hale, Kyla Rich and Koy Rich; his aunt, Dean Wemkin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the hospice that provided Eddie with care in his final season of life.
