She was born in Loraine, Texas on December 2, 1939 to the late Lemuel and Mary Smith Caswell.
Elvie was a very family oriented woman, always making sure to put her family before all. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply, but her great-grandchildren were her world, she would do anything for them and they could do no wrong. She was a woman who also believed in hard work. She spent most of her life managing apartment complexes and as a hospitality manager for hotels. In her spare time she enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have fun, she enjoyed sewing and quilting and traveling all around the southern United States, but most of all enjoyed shopping which is probably why Christmas was her favorite holiday. She also enjoyed buying furniture, but not the light stuff. She had an eye for good quality and many would say she was a Furniture Aficionado. Her warm smile, gentle hugs, and the quality love she displayed to all she loved will be cherished for years to come
Elvie is survived by her son Keith Coulliette and fiancé Regina McCollum of Hawthorn Florida, by granddaughters Jessica Tucker of Houston Texas and Chelsea Busby and husband Waylon of Butler Alabama, and by great-grandchildren Emmitt, Owen, and Bennett. She is also survived by sisters Jody Coulliette and husband Robert and Wanda McCormack.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by a son Robert W. Coulliette III, by 2 brothers Lendel Ray and Rex, and by her sister Todie.
