He was born in Loraine, Texas to Emeterio and Apolonia Orona Campos.
Boone was a devout catholic who loved his family above all else. He prayed his rosary every morning and his daily prayers always included his family. When he was able to work he was a auto-mechanic as cars were in his passion. In his younger days he enjoyed drag-racing, but after his children came along he settled for watching the races instead as they became his number 1 priority. In his spare time he enjoyed cracking a good joke, practicing his guitar, and working on his muscle cars. He was a simple man who believed in honesty and integrity who will be missed by many.
Boone is survived by a son Emet Campos of Colorado City and a daughter Becca Campos and fiancé Jonathan Franco of San Angelo, by a brother John Campos of Colorado City, and by sisters Anita Reyna of Colorado City, Rita Espinoza and husband Daniel of Colorado City, Emma Godina and husband David of Colorado City, Esther Goss of New Braunfels, Irma Boyle and husband Richard of Palestine, Dora Morris of New Braunfels, and Janie Davila and husband Mike of Colorado City.
He was preceded in death by his parents Emeterio Campos Sr. and Apolonia Campos and by a brother Joe Campos.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Boone will be held on Friday, October 16th at 10 am at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating.
