Mr. Floyd Barr, age 82, of Colorado City, died Thursday morning in a local care center. Graveside services will be at 2 PM Saturday, August 18, 2012, in the Colorado City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Barr was born November 22, 1929 in DeQueen , AR to Madison and Clara Golden Barr and had been a long time resident of Colorado City. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by a son, Larry Barr of Ft. Worth; a daughter, Elaine and husband Kenny Harris of Wilmington, NC; 3 grandsons: Robert McCoy, Justin McCoy and Larry and wife, Veldea Barr; 3 great grandsons: Justin McCoy, Ethan McCoy and Coby Barr; a sister, Margaret and husband John Brown of Colorado City, several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers: Lloyd Barr, Herbert Barr, Robert Barr and Hubert Barr and 2 sisters: Bernice Walker and Lillian Alexander.
