

Colorado City – Mrs. Frances Lamb, age 80, of Colorado City, died Tuesday morning in a local care center. Services will be a 2 PM Thursday, November 4, 2010, in the Oak St. Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Brem officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lamb was born December 26, 1929 in Lamesa, TX to John Lee and Minervie Orr Howell. She married Samuel Odell Lamb on February 10, 1948 in Andrews, TX. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1986. She was a homemaker and worked at Anthony’s for many years. She was a member of the Oak St. Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Bennie and wife, Nellie Lamb of Buffalo Gap, TX; a daughter, Judy and husband, David Lewis of Andrews, TX; 2 brothers: John Howell and L. C. Howell, both of Lindsay, OK; a sister, Lola Sevil of Lamesa; grandchildren: Lisa and husband, Scott Diggs, Sandy and husband, Mike Ward , Scott and wife, Misty Lamb, Krisha and husband, Carl Beal, Kayla and husband, George Kiker, Kami and husband, Thad Treadwell, Tisha and husband, Robert Well and William and wife, Ann Lewis, and 24 great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sheryl Lamb; sisters Maple Peterson, Violet Collie and Wanda Faye McKinney, and a grandson, Kevin Lamb.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
