George "Porky" Brian Proctor Jr.

Porky was born July 22, 1941 to George and Francis “Bill” Proctor.

He was a lifelong resident of Mitchell County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Porky will be remembered fondly for offering up his musical talents to entertain the local senior citizens with his fiddle playing skills. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends.

Porky was preceded in death by his mother and father, George and Bill Proctor and by a daughter Tammy Marie Proctor.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Paul (Iglehart) Proctor, two sons Ronald Proctor and wife Sareesa and Bubba Proctor and wife Julie; five grandchildren, Russell Whitesides and wife Audrey, Bryan Proctor and wife April, Ryan Proctor, Courtney Proctor and fiancé Craig Ginkinger, and Kelsey Sealy and husband Jake as well as by seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of his life. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A celebration of Porky’s life will be held on Thursday, February 8th at 2pm with Bobby Matlock officiating at Calvary Baptist Church, burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery with pallbearers Todd Whitesides, Randy McPhaul, Rick McPhaul, Bryan Proctor, Jake Sealy, Craig Ginkinger, Mike Minkina, and Cade Proctor. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Proctor, Hunter Proctor, Cecil Crow, Russell Whitesides, Bo Proctor, Todd Iglehart, and Jody Iglehart.

The family will be present for a visitation on Wednesday, February 7th from 6-8 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
