She was born on November 21, 1932 to William and Bessie Cook Mayfield in Prague Oklahoma
Geraldine was an old fashioned proper woman full of beauty, passion, and adventure. She believed in putting her family first making sure to be the best wife, mother, and grandmother that she could be, always making sure her house was the local hangout spot for the kids in the area. She loved children and children loved her, at any given time during the day she would have a yard full of children or teens playing games or getting a word of advice from her including a bit of extra coaching away from the field. Geraldine had many hobbies using her musical and artistic talents and when it came to the outdoors. She could be seen outside on her motorcycle, zipping around on her fourwheeler, or just outside camping and enjoying the weather. Geraldine held onto her youthful nature all her life, she even ziplined and parasailed shortly after turning 80. She was a homebody for the most part so that she could spend as much time as she could with her family and the children, but many knew her from her time managing a movie theatre in the 1960’s. Geraldine leaves behind a legacy of love for family, passion for life, and great memories for those that knew her.
Geraldine is survived by her two sons Randy Bocock of Aguilar Colorado and Roger Bocock of Colorado City, a daughter Jaquiline Murrell of Fritch Texas, a sister Mary Ann Winingham of Hamilton Montana, by 5 grandchildren Denise, Becky, Justin, Lucretia, and Jay, by sixteen great-grandchildren, and by one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Bocock in 2007, by her brothers Vernon Edmond and Derrell Mayfield, and by a sister Wilma Clifton.
A memorial service for Geraldine will be held on September 8th in Fritch Texas.
Arrangements were entrusted to Kiker Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City Texas.
