Horace Wendell Pace

Horace Wendell Pace, age 79, of Colorado City died at a local hospital on Monday, July 2, 2012. Graveside funeral service will be 3 PM, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Colorado City Cemetery. Rev. James Williams will officiate. Services are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Pace was born March 16, 1933 to David Nelson and Cora Odell Guerin Pace in Buford, TX. He retired from TXU Electric. He also was a farmer. He was a member of the VFW and Wallace Senior Center. He was a veteran, having serving in Germany from 1951 until 1953. He was known by all for being a kind and gentle man.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Pace; daughter, Meghan Pace of San Angelo; son, Wendell Pace and wife Jan of Pearland, TX; step-sons, Jimmy Parks of Colorado City and Reggie and wife Teresa of Katy, TX; step-daughter, Patricia and husband Gerald Claxton of Snyder, TX; sister, Delores and husband Don Narrell of Loraine; grandchildren, Ryan Claxton, Allie Claxton, and Shane Parks; great-grandson, Aedyn Claxton; niece, Diane Narrell; and his special dog, Sugar.
