He was born in Loraine, Texas to Joseph Henry Bryant and Maggie Muriel Bryant on May 12, 1937.
Howard was a simple man who enjoyed small town living, always keeping people on their toes, and keeping a wonderful sense of humor. In his younger years Howard worked for a printing press until he started his career as a maintenance man for Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital where he stayed for over 44 years until having to retire. Howard spent the last 3 years of his life as a resident of the Sterling Hils Rehabilitation Center where he was treated like family, he loved all the staff and they in-turn loved him too.
Those that knew Howard knew he was a huge Trump supporter and a man of God, often keeping up with the word via the television and through the mail. Up until the final week Howard would be able to keep you updated on current events happening locally and around the world as he made sure to keep up with the news. As one last gesture of his kindness Howard donated his extensive gun collection to be raffled off be his beloved Sweetwater Gun and Rifle Club for them to start a scholarship fund.
Howard is survived by his friends who loved him dearly and by the staff of the Sterling Hills Rehabilitation Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Bryant and Maggie Bryant and by his wife Juanita Bryant.
A graveside for Howard will take place in the Loraine Cemetery on Friday, January 30th at 1pm with Pastor Ken Reamy of Calvary Baptist Church in Colorado City leading in prayer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kiker Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City.
