

Colorado City – Jim Edd Taylor, age 76, of Colorado City, died Wednesday morning in a local care center. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, May 31, 2012 in the Loraine Cemetery with Rev. Monte Wike officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Jim was born May 31, 1935 in Loraine to Charlie Dexter and Allie Mae Hallmark Taylor. He attended Loraine ISD and went to Texas Tech University. He was a longtime supporter of the Texas football program. He was also a long time member of the Lions Club and sat on the State Board of Directors in Fort Worth, TX. Jim married Mary Elizabeth Golden of Colorado City in 1953 and together they had 4 children.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Dexter Taylor and Allie May Taylor; and a brother, Wayne Taylor.
He is survived by his sister, June Barron of Loraine; his four children, Eddie and Carol Taylor of Sherman, TX, Rodney Taylor of Loraine, Cherry and Robert Hoback of Colorado City, and Dexter Taylor of Colorado City; eight grandkids, Stephanie Means, Brandon Hoback, Andrea Burleson, JW Taylor, Jr. Taylor, Don Edd Taylor, and Kyle Taylor; eight-grandkids, Shawn Means, Courtney Means, Kami Means, Undeeyn Harp, Wyatt Taylor, Conner Taylor, Jim Taylor, and Dexter Taylor.
