Jose was born in Junction Texas on June 16, 1941 to Robert and Juliana Gonzales Condarco.
Jose was a man filled with love and intelligence far beyond his educational level. He worked hard all his life to provide for his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. A cotton farmer and ginner by trade Jose could create anything he dreamed up. In 1976 he designed and built the continental conveyor moduel feeder which he had patent on for many years. He worked for the Mitchell County Cotton Gin in Loraine, as well as many other locations. Anything he built and any job he did was always meticulous as he wanted everything to be in its place and working properly. Jose was also an educator, having taught many in his family important life fundamentals like driving, cooking, and how to work hard, but he also had a fun side to him, especially when it came to tricking people into eating the chili de monte pepper. He was also one of the founders of the annual Boer Goat Cookoff which started out in Loraine before moving to Colorado City. In his spare time Jose enjoyed watching westerns, the National Geographic Channel, going fishing, barbecuing, camping, cooking up a storm, welding, and boating, especially in his pontoon.
Jose is survived by his wife of 36 years Angelita Martinez, by his sons Julian “J.J.” Condarco and wife Joyce of Pueblo, Colorado, Joe Louis Martinez of Loraine, and Porfirio Jr. Martinez of Crane, and by his daughters Leticia Condarco Romero and husband Estevan of Euless, Dora Sanchez of San Angelo, and Angie DeLeon and husband Robert of Crane. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, by a brother Bennito Condarco, and by sisters Margarita Mena, Cristina Juarez, and Alicia Santigo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by a son Richard Martinez, a daughter Mary Lou Garcia, and by siblings Carlos Condarco, Anita Torres, Javier Condarco, Paulina De Los Santos, Clara Lombrania, Pedro Condarco, Ernesto Condarco, and Jorge Condarco.
