

Linden was born on October 3, 1927 in Mitchell County, the son of R.L. and Esthma Chivers Solomon. He married the love of his life LaJauna McMillan on December 23, 1951. Linden was a farmer spending lots of time tending to Nutty Acres which is where they made their home. Throughout his life Linden was very active in his community, sitting on many boards. He was a board member for a local gin, sat on board for an electric co-op company and was a board member of the Rolling Plains Compress. He also sat on the hospital board for many years. Linden was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Colorado City and was a member of the local Masonic Lodge and became a Shiner later on in life. Those that knew him knew he was a hard-working man and that his family was the most important thing to him in life. In his spare time he would RV around the countryside, he especially liked to go in the mountains. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing dominoes, his favorite game was 42.
Linden is survived by his daughters Peggy Smith and husband Donald of Colorado City and Phyllis Easter and husband Jimmy of Lubbock, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-nephew, and his life-long friend Jake Autry.
He was preceded in death by his wife LaJauna who passed away on January 9, 2016, by his parents R. L. and Esthma Solomon, his sister Ina Finch and her husband, and by his nephew Clayton Finch.
A funeral service for Linden will be held on Tuesday, March 1st at 2pm at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Shields officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery.
