

Lydia Acosta Holguin Shane of Colorado City, Texas was born in Loraine, Texas to Raul and Esperanza Holguin on July 1, 1947 and went safely into the arms of Jesus Christ on September 20, 2023 at the Mitchell County Nursing and Rehab Center.
She is survived by her children Melinda (Mindy) Selvera Warren of Midland and Kent Sterling Shane of Kerrville; and her beloved grandson Jayden Autry Warren of Midland. She is also survived by siblings Rene Holguin of Colorado City, Maria Blanca Olguin Crutcher of Woburn, Massachusetts, and Jimmy Holguin of Snyder and their spouses, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Angela Mischele Selvera; her parents Raul Madrid Holguin and Esperanza Acosta Holguin; and her siblings Raul Holguin Jr, Elia Holguin Larson, Joe Holguin, Irma Holguin Alderete, Irene Holguin Reyna, and Arthur Holguin.
Her greatest joys were found in her relationship with Jesus, her only grandson, and her beloved feline furry friends. She will be laid to rest at the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home on Saturday, September 23rd at 10 am, with graveside services officiated by Ron Davis.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of the Mitchell County Nursing and Rehab Center for their kindness and compassion while Lydia was in their care, and especially a very special thank you to Christal Smith who lovingly stayed by our side every step of the way as we ushered our mother home.
