

Colorado City – Mrs. Margaret Latimer, age 90, of Colorado City, died Saturday night in a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in the Kiker-Seale Chapel with Rev. Monte Wike officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Latimer was born July 9, 1920 in Paris, TX to V. R. and Jenny Skidmore Trulock and had been a resident of Mitchell County since 1946. She married Curtis Latimer on December 25, 1941 in Paris, TX. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1995. She taught in public schools for 30 years, a long time member of The First Christian Church in Colorado City and a member of Texas Women’s University Alumni Association. She was also very active in the Boy Scouts, Parent/Teacher Association, Mitchell County Library, Heart of West Texas Museum and the Zetagathian Study Club.
She is survived by 3 sons: John and wife, Stephanie Latimer of Odessa, TX, Don and wife, Rita Latimer of Richardson, TX and Dan and wife, Renate Latimer of Auburn, AL; a sister, Jane Majors of Odessa and 4 grandchildren.
