She was born in Colorado City on December 8, 1960 to the late Emilio and Maria Antonia Teran Godina.
Maria was a great woman with a big heart, who loved her family more than words could express. She was born and raised in Colorado City. She married the love of her life, Abelardo Molano in Rotan on September 20, 1980 and began her life-long journey of creating home filled with love for all. She really enjoyed dancing, cooking, and listening to music. When a good song came on she would grab ahold of one of the kids and sweep them across the floor in jubilee. She was a very strong-willed woman who would fight through any obstacle in her way. She was a hard-headed woman (as any Godina should be) and was not one to steer away from trash talking. In her spare time she enjoyed watching her grandsons sporting events and spending time with them. Memories of her will be filled with love and kindness, so when you think of her have a piece of chocolate and smile, knowing she loves you.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Abelardo C. Molano of Colorado City, by sons Adrian Molano and wife Erika of Cleburne and Abel Israel Molano of Colorado City, by a daughter Veronica Molano of Cleburne, and by grandchildren Darian Molano and Angel Molano. Also surviving is her brother Manuel Godina and wife Irma of Colorado City, as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Emilio and Maria Godina.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Maria will be held at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church on Monday, October 18th at 10 am with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating.
The family will be present for a visitation from 5-7 pm on Sunday, October 17th with a rosary to follow at Kiker Seale Funeral Home.
