He was born on September 6, 1959 to George and Barbara Alexander Beaird in Merkel.
Mike spent the majority of his life working for the oilfield holding many different titles and working for several different companies, even owning his own water well business at one point in his career. He was the type of man who wore his heart on his sleeve always making sure to be there for his family and his friends. Despite being the type of man who would bend over backwards to help others you did not want to get on his bad side or you would quickly know it. Mike was a great husband, father, and grandfather and loved to have family over to his home at the lake where he would enjoy fishing and having get togethers. Though Mike was not a member of any professional organizations it is important to note that he was a proud sponsor of Keystone Light, donating a small fortune throughout the years. His great sense of humor brought much joy to those around him and his love for all people and his animals will make him truly unforgettable.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Janice Beaird of Colorado City, by 3 sons William Beaird and husband Antonio Martinez of San Angelo, Michael Austin Beaird of Washington, and George Donovan of Big Spring, and by 5 daughters Chrystal Garcia and husband Albert of San Antonio, Robin Youngblood and husband Joe of Mountain Home, Cloey Day and husband Jared Chandler of Odessa, Kristen Peterman and husband Jay of Essexville Michigan, and Christina Murray of Holts Summit Missouri, as well as by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Barbara Alexander of Abilene, by brothers Jeff Beaird and wife Chelci of Colorado City, Jerry Beaird and wife Lynda of Kerrville, Tommy Beaird and wife Betsy of Raliegh North Carolina, Ricky Salazar of Lavernia, Donny Salazar and wife Deandra Benavides of Bulverde, and Larry Salazar of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and by 2 sisters Renee Smith and husband Mike of Abilene and Gayla Beaird of Colorado City. He is also survived by his dogs, Rosie, Mentone, Max, and Bella, and cats, Gingersnap and Archie, who will dearly miss him. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends are also left to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Beaird and Katie Beaird.
A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held at his home on Saturday, July 5th at 2pm.
