

Mrs. Ona Mae Harris, age 84, of Colorado City, died Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014, in a Stamford, Texas care center. Services will be at 4 PM Sunday in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jesse Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Westbrook Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris was born December 4, 1929 in Colorado City to Earnest and Maggie Mae Bailey Brown and had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell County. She married Jim Harris on December 31, 1949 in Midland, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Colorado City. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jim Harris of Colorado City; 4 daughters: Sarah Butts of Grand Prairie, TX, Rhonda and husband, Mike Powell of Stamford, TX, Deniece and husband, T C Love of Fredericksburg, TX and Jamie and husband, Jeff Jacobs of San Antonio, TX; a son, Jimmy and wife, Ellen Harris of Spring, TX; 1 brother: John and wife Margaret Brown of Colorado City; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, James Bryan Powell; a son-in-law, Ben Butts; 3 sisters: Ernestine Moore, Doris Turner and Jerline Felts; and 4 brothers: Glenn Brown, Bill Brown, Roy Lee Brown and Vaughn Brown.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the funeral home
