

Colorado City – Mrs. Pauline Light, age 79, of Colorado City, died Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital. Services will be at 2 Pm Saturday, July 6, 2013, in the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Spade Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Light was born July 22, 1933 in Hermleigh, Texas to William A. and Beatrice Collier Thompson and had been a resident of Colorado City since 1944. She married Leon Light on April 14, 1951 in Colorado City. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she was the church secretary for 18 years. She was also a longtime member of the Business and Professional Women’s Organization and the Mitchell County Hospital Auxiliary and made baby blankets to be sold in the hospital gift shop.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Light of Colorado City; 3 daughters: Carolyn and husband, Bill Franklin of Austin, Patricia Lyle of Columbia, SC and Janet Light of Colorado City; 2 sons: Steven Light and Bruce and wife, Gloria Light, all of Springtown; 2 brothers: Leo and wife, Fern Thompson of Colorado City and Dwain and wife, Sue McGuire of Snyder; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons: James W. Light and Charles L. Light.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
