Pedro Ventura, 53, Colorado City passed away in the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Pedro Ventura was born in Santa Maria del Rio , San Luis Potosí, to Pedro & Maria Isabel Ventura on March 7, 1967.

In 1980 he started working at Renderbrook Spade Ranch and would spend the next 40 years of his life dedicated and working faithfully, some of which is documented in the history book of the spade ranch that is at the museum in Colorado City. He had a heart of gold, the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He was extremely outgoing, and found a friend no matter where he went. One thing his children will never forget is the amount of love they received from him growing up, he was incredibly supportive and taught them life lessons that they can pass on to their own children. He loved watching his granddaughters play their favorite sport, softball. Hunting was his favorite past time, as he could always do that with his son who loved it just as much as him. There was no one who could cook it up in the kitchen quite like him, or BBQ on the grill for all of his family. There was nothing that mattered to him more than his family.

Pedro is survived by his sons, Edgar Ventura and wife Amanda of Colorado City and their daughters Natalie, Nayeli, and Nalani, and Alfredo Ventura and wife Melissa of Colorado City and their daughters Sienna and Alianna; by his daughters, Krystal Ventura and fiancé Jarrett Garcia of San Angelo and their daughter Julianna, and Leslie Ventura of Colorado City. He is also survived by his father Pedro Ventura by his mother Maria Isabelle Diaz, by his brothers Javier Ventura Sr, Roberto Ventura, Alfredo Ventura Sr. Juan Manuel Ventura Diaz, Adrian Ventura, and Rafael Ventura, and by his sisters Maria del Carmen Ventura Diaz and Raquel Ventura Diaz, as well as by numerous, nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Maximina Diaz and Inocencia Ventura and by his granddaughter Nadia Nevaeh Ventura.

A visitation for Pedro will be held at Kiker Seale Funeral Home on Sunday, July 26th from 6pm to 8pm in the chapel with a rosary to be held at 7pm. Our friend Pedro has left us too soon, and there is such sadness in our hearts. He was one of a kind...sweet, funny, kind, loving, charming and handsome. To say that we will miss him is too simple. It is much more than that. We loved him.

Our hearts and sympathy go out to his family and all who loved him.

Condolences to the Ventura family. We moved to Colorado City in 2010 not knowing anyone and met Pedro who was a gentle loving man who rented out one of his homes to us. He became a good friend of ours and will truly be missed. Thank you Mr. Ventura for always being there for us.
