Petra Vigil Fuentes

Petra was born on June 12, 1946, in Snook, Texas, to the late Felix and Margarita Vigil. She married the love of her life, Francisco Fuentes, on July 24, 1965, in Alliance, Nebraska.

Petra was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. As a dedicated homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming home, always placing the needs of her loved ones before her own. She was a faithful member of St. Ann's Catholic Church for many years, where her deep faith and devoted commitment to her parish were evident throughout her life.

She was known for her green thumb and took great pride in tending to her flowers and plants. She loved the outdoors and found joy in the beauty of God's creation. Petra also had a generous heart and a special love for animals, caring for them with the same compassion and kindness she extended to her family, friends, and neighbors. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selfless devotion to her family and her faith will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francisco Fuentes; her parents, Felix and Margarita Vigil; her daughter, Jessie Fuentes-Reyna; her sons, Frankie Fuentes and Richard Fuentes; and her daughter-in-law, Dina Fuentes.

Left to cherish her precious memory are her sons, Ramiro Fuentes and wife, Mary, and Ruben Fuentes; her grandchildren, Henry Reyna, Esian Fuentes, Quinton Fuentes, and Andrew Fuentes; several great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Elvida, Bridgett, Raymond, and Phillip.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Interment will follow at Westbrook Cemetery in the Fuentes family plot. Pallbearers will be Esian Fuentes, Quinton Fuentes, Andrew Fuentes, Joe Ponce, William Smith, and Simon Reyna
