Raymond C. Molina
March 3, 1952 – April 15, 2018
Raymond C. Molina, 66, Colorado City, passed away peacefully at the Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock on Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was born on March 3, 1952 in Loraine, Texas to the late Jesus and Jesucita Cienega Molina. Raymond was a man who loved his family more than words could say, he made sure to be their protector and to work hard to be the best provider he could be. In 1974 he married the love of his life miss Susie Gomez. Together they spent 44 years of wedded bliss, raising their 4 children, then spoiling their grandchildren, always making sure to spend as much time with them as possible. He was a great father and a great example of how to be a grandfather, never missing the opportunity to make his family laugh. In his spare time he loved to work on vehicles, especially his ’45 ford. He also enjoyed playing softball, gardening, drawing, taking pictures, or taking in a Texas Rangers or Dallas Cowboys game. Raymond is survived by his wife Susie Molina of Colorado City, a son Raymond Martin Molina Jr. of Colorado City, and by three daughters; Priscilla Castro and husband Eli of Odessa, Melissa Molina of Colorado City and Cyrria Carter and husband Alessandro of Okinawa, Japan, as well as by his grandchildren Mathew Martin Molina, Anthony Bryant “A.B.” Lara Jr, Adrian Koby Castro, and Tae Angel-Love Lara, and by his great-grandchildren Milania Rose Carter and Yasmine Jessie Carter. He is also survived by his siblings Arthur Molina of Odessa, Louis Molina and wife Brenda of Colorado City, Danny Molina and wife Linda of Midland, Ruth Ybarra and husband Mike of Odessa, Mary Campbell of Colorado City, and Delma Molina of Colorado City. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Manuel Molina, Juan Molina, Ruben Molina, and Martin “Chief” Molina, and by his sister Alice Silva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church on Friday, April 20th at 10 am with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating, burial will follow at the Mitchell County Cemetery. The family will be present for a visitation on Wednesday, April 18th and Thursday, April 19th from 6-8 pm with a rosary to be held at 7 pm both nights at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
