Ricky M. Davila, 56 of Loraine, Texas passed away in the Mitchell County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Colorado City on November 23, 2021 with loving family by his side. He was born in Loraine on July 24, 1965 to Manuel and Connie Martinez Davila Ricky was a fun loving spirit who loved his God and his family with all his heart. He was a member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church of Colorado City for many years and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He spent many years working for Fuller Foods in the produce, meat, and deli areas. Ricky lived for his grandchildren (better known as his Changos), they were his world and he would always be there to spoil them when able. He was the type of man who never met a stranger, he would always make time to make new friends. In his spare time he was an eclectic collector of novelty items, but everything had its price. He also enjoyed throwing a good joke, routing against the Dallas Cowboys, helping with Saint Ann’s Fall Festival and being a picky eater (except when it came to his son-in-laws roast). When not kept busy with life and hobbies Ricky could be seen praying for his family or talking with one of many friends. He will be missed by all who loved him and his love for family will be cherished for years to come. Ricky is survived by his mother Connie Martinez of Coahoma, by a son Ricky Davila Jr. and wife Heidi of Ft. Hood-Killeen, by daughters Lori Davila and husband Benjamin Gomez of Sweetwater and Leslie Davila of Colorado City and by grandchildren Matthew, Aries, Lexington, Donatello, Paizley, Zephyra, and Lyza. He is also survived by brothers Mike Davila and wife Janie of Colorado City and David Davila and wife Maria of Colorado City, and by a sister Christy Hernandez and husband Tony of Big Spring as well as by many nieces, nephews and dear cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Manuel Davila Sr. and by a brother Manuel Davila Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial for Ricky will be held on Saturday, November 27th at 1 pm in Saint Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating, burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery. I remember when I was young, and my Father would take us to visit them, and he would always welcome us the same every time. Always glad to see his Uncle, Aunt, and Cousins. His Facebook posts would encourage me, and make me hungry, cry, and laugh at the same time. No matter what he was struggling with, and enjoying he would share his Life, and that brought me the strength to go on when I wanted to complain. He would clean, eat, cook, and end it with a joke. That's a Spirit not ready to give in to what is trying to knock him down. His race has been Won, and his Victory has brought him the ultimate reward, his place in Heaven. Rest now Primo, I Imagine you smiling, and though we miss you, we know your are in your rightful place, at Peace. Until we meet again on that beautiful shore, "Go Rest High on that Mountain"! Love you Primo.

I will always remember Ricky saying I can eat a Hamburger, and it could be 8 in the morning or 10 at night. It was also hamburger time 🍔. He was a kind hearted guy with a smile on his face. You will be missed dearly May you rest in peace 🕊
